My name is Richika Akula and I am running for Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year!
I was a member of ASB my sophomore year and I will still be a part of the same program in the coming up year, so I am fully aware of what it takes for a person to be successful in being a Vice President or in any other ASB position.
With all the amazing work that was done by my peers, I believe we could take it to the next level. I’ve been in Cheer and Choir for the past 2 years, where I've learned many team, life and leadership skills. I was a captain for my JV cheer team, I’ve helped train new employees, I am a link leader, and was in charge of many events, fundraisers, and activities so I do have experience when it comes to being in charge and taking action. I am hardworking, determined, responsible, cheery, a very good listener, and thrive under pressure.
My goal for the school is to create an amazing high school experience for everyone on campus. I want students to not only graduate with a diploma in their hands, but to be proud of their achievements during high school and to have a smile while facing the challenges in the real world after graduating. As a school community, we want you to not only excel in your academics, but to excel in your happiness. I hope to continue music and more activities during lunch and involve more students' input when it comes to big school events, such as homecoming, prom, or even sporting events. I will promote events that are happening in the community that could help with college decisions or just to have fun to fill in any spare time. I want to recognize all of the sports and clubs that have been overlooked by having more meetings for your concerns and suggestions so that we can look over and help everyone succeed. I hope to also help organize the class’ reunion. During your high school years, I’d like each moment of school to be a wonderful throwback with all our friends, fellow classmates, and moments we all shared. This reunion is important because we want to reunite with each other to look back on all your amazing moments and wonderful memories in life!
If I have the opportunity to become your Vice President, then I will do my best to help make these things happen. High school is a place to find new friends, new opportunities, and shape you into who you want to become in the future. I could help make students live their high school experience to the fullest.
Remember those thoughts when you were little about how high school might be for you? All those expectations and dreams you wanted to achieve back when you were in elementary, middle school or even in tv shows? Well, If you make me Vice President next year, I will work hard to make SCHS live up to your expectations and have you thrive and make these the best years of your life! I may just be one person, but with your help, I will work hard to make sure we all have that smile when we walk and enter the real world.
