My name is Josie Aspromonte and I will be a junior at Santa Cruz High in fall 2020. I grew up in Santa Cruz and went to Westlake and Mission Hill. I have been involved in ASB at SCHS since my freshman year. Through this involvement, I have developed good time management and organizational skills and have learned how to work smoothly with my peers. Projects I especially enjoyed include putting together the freshman float for homecoming, planning the winter formal, and working with incoming students as a part of Link Crew for the past two years. Some clubs I am involved in at SCHS are Women’s Honor Society and InterAct. In my time outside of school I dance six days a week. When I have free time I like bike riding and going to the beach.
I am running for ASB treasurer at Santa Cruz HIgh because I am ready to take on a bigger commitment after two years in leadership. I believe I would do a good job as treasurer because I’m responsible and conscientious. The position of treasurer is important in student government because it helps keep track of finances and makes sure we are staying on track with our spending.
My goals for Santa Cruz High include helping our school community stay united and positive no matter what the situation is. I hope to be a part of a strong and motivated leadership team that contributes to a welcoming school environment for everyone.
